Our hotel is located in the middle of the beautiful scenery of Kainuu, but still right in the center of Suomussalmi. Our address is Jalonkatu 1 B 89600 Suomussalmi.

How do I check in to the hotel when it is closed?

How do I get to the hotel by public transport?

The nearest bus stop is located 270 m from the hotel and the nearest train station is in Kajaani, 107 km away. You can conveniently plan your trip using the Matkahuolto and VR websites.

Can I change or cancel my room reservation?

You can make changes to your room reservation by contacting our hotel reception at hotelli@kiannonkuohut.fi or by calling 0300 870 307.

can I book a room for the invoice?

Companies can reserve a room for an invoice on a case-by-case basis. There is no invoice option for individuals.

How do I check in and check out?

Check-in and check-out are done through the reception. At the reception you will receive a card case containing a door card, spa ticket and an information package about opening hours and night-time check-in.

how do I get a gym card?

You can get a gym card upon request from reception.

do all rooms have a balcony?

Our hotel's 20 rooms have balconies with views of the magnificent Jalonuoma.

My code doesn't work for the night door, what should I do?

In the event of a fault, you can call our 24/7 emergency service at 0300 870 307.

Are there balconies in pet rooms?

Pet rooms do not have balconies.
